Interview Process for Movers
Joining A1A Moving Company starts with a clear, respectful, and efficient hiring process designed to find team players who value safety, service, and reliability.
What to Expect
Step 1: Quick Application
Submit a short online form with basic details, work history, and availability; no lengthy cover letter required.Step 2: Phone Screening
A 10–15 minute call to confirm experience, schedule, commute feasibility, and customer-service mindset; expect a few scenario questions.Step 3: In‑Person Interview
Meet a hiring manager or operations lead to discuss past moving/warehouse/labor experience, teamwork, problem‑solving, and attitude; bring ID and any relevant certifications.Step 4: Skills & Fitness Check
Basic lift-and-carry assessment (e.g., 23–32kg handling), safe carrying technique, stairs navigation, and teamwork coordination; may include a packing demo for fragile items.Step 5: Background & MVR Review
Standard background check; driver roles require a clean Motor Vehicle Record and valid license appropriate to the vehicle class.Step 6: Offer & Onboarding
Successful candidates receive a written offer outlining pay, overtime eligibility, bonuses, and benefits; onboarding covers policies, uniforms, and shift scheduling.
